A three-step batch-code check before you trust a result

A careful check takes less time than correcting a wrong conclusion. The key is to avoid skipping from a visible number straight to an “expiry” answer.

1. Identify the candidate

Look for the short production-style reference on the product and original carton. Exclude the standard retail barcode, SKU, and shade information.

2. Pair it with the brand

Choose the brand printed on the item and copy the candidate exactly. If the format is not covered, accept the unsupported result rather than editing characters until a date appears.

3. Read the result in context

Keep manufacture date, printed best-before date, and after-opening information separate. A batch-code result can inform the timeline; it cannot certify authenticity or condition.
