These terms apply to the Lotly iOS app. By using Lotly you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the app.
Because Lotly is distributed through the App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies. Where the two disagree, Apple's terms win.
Lotly reads the batch code printed on a cosmetic and tells you the manufacture date the brand's own coding scheme implies, plus a typical shelf life for that product.
These are estimates decoded from manufacturer schemes, not a safety guarantee. Brands change their coding without notice, printing wears off, and a product's real condition depends on how it was stored and whether it has been opened. Where we have no verified rule for a brand or format, we say we can't find it rather than guess — but a date we do return can still be wrong. Do not rely on Lotly for medical decisions or for anything where being wrong would harm you. Trust the packaging, the PAO symbol, and your own judgement first.
Lotly is free to try with a limited number of lookups. Lotly Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered weekly and yearly. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. Prices are shown in your local currency in the app and may differ by territory.
You can manage or cancel a subscription any time in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for.
All purchases go through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds directly, but write to us and we'll help you sort out anything that's our fault.
The cosmetics you save, and any photos you attach, are yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store and sync them so the app works across your devices. We do not use your entries to train anything, and we do not sell them. See the Privacy Policy for what we hold and how to have it deleted.
Please don't use automated tools to bulk-query the service, scrape the brand database, resell access, or attempt to break or overload the servers. We may limit or end access that does these things.
We aim to keep Lotly running, but we don't promise uninterrupted service — servers go down, brands change, and features change. We may add, alter, or retire features. If we make a change that materially affects a paid subscription, we'll say so in the app or by email.
Lotly is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and it does not affect statutory consumer rights you have where you live.
