A batch code is not a password that every cosmetic brand shares. The brand tells a checker which, if any, decoding rule is relevant.
Four characters are enough for many formats, so the same sequence can appear on unrelated products. Reading it without the brand creates a plausible-looking answer with no reliable connection to the item.
Choose the brand shown on the product, then enter the code copied from that product. If a parent company, retailer, or collaboration name makes the choice unclear, start with the brand that actually appears beside the code and keep the carton for reference.
