Two products made on the same day can have very different histories by the time they reach you. A batch date cannot reconstruct storage, handling, or whether the seal was opened.
A decoded manufacture date is useful context for age. It does not inspect the formula, measure performance, or decide that an individual item is safe to use. Those are different questions with evidence a code does not contain.
