Where is the batch code on Route 66 products?
Look on the base of the bottle or jar, the crimped tail of a tube, or the bottom flap of the box. It is a short string stamped or printed in small type — not the barcode.
Is a Route 66 lot number the same as a batch code?
Yes — lot number, lot code and batch code all mean the same string on your Route 66 packaging. American packaging and shoppers tend to say lot number; British and European ones say batch code. Enter it either way.
Why can't you decode my Route 66 code?
We only show a date when we can decode it with a rule we have verified for that brand, and we have not verified one for this brand yet. We would rather say so than guess. Enter your code above — we add brands in the order people ask for them.
Is the barcode the same as the batch code?
No. The barcode is the 12–14 digit number under the striped label and identifies the product, not the batch — it contains no date at all. This is the single most common mistake.
